Our Philosophy

We believe in an interconnected equality-based philosophy where children, family members, staff and community are represented collaboratively.

We acknowledge the Original Custodians of the Land on which Bullfrog Children’s Centre is located. We pay respect to the local Dharawal people and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of Lands across our nation. We pay respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.

We valued everyone as active and informed member of our community. We are inspired by the connections, experiences, spirituality, and knowledge in which they share. We believe that through open engagement, sharing of ideas and developing trusted relationships we can enrich each other’s lives.

We journey each day with mutual respect in our communication and practices. Promoting positive self-worth, celebrate strengths and support wellbeing, in a multifaceted approach. Our responsiveness to children and each other, within our community, is collaborative and with a thirst for everyone to be lifelong learners.

We promote an environment that is calm, nurturing, warm, supportive, and inclusive. One that values critical reflection, high expectations and finds strength in play-based pedagogy. We believe that learning is enriched in natural spaces which respect, and promote sustainability, curiosity, creativity, and engagement on the lands in which we learn and play.

Together we respect, engage, and consider others.
